Sikeston Rails-to-Trails Master Plan

The i5Group, as part of a team with Gateway Design Studio, developed a rail-to-trail master plan for the City of Sikeston, Missouri. The master plan creates a future vision for the trail as an important link to Sikeston’s downtown and city neighborhoods. The team examined existing conditions, developed a phasing plan, conceptual trail options, and cost estimates. Two community open houses were held and the plan was well received by stakeholders and the public. Multiple trail options were presented and evaluated for the master plan. The team assisted the city in a successful grant proposal for the initial phase of construction.
