Loop Special Business District Strategic Plan

 
 

The i5Group facilitated a strategic planning process for the Loop Special Business District (LSBD). A strategic plan is a high level “road-map” for future actions, often identifying the need for additional in-depth planning or analysis on topics and priorities identified during the strategic planning process. The LSBD guides investment and funding for University City’s Delmar Loop, one of the iconic streets in the St. Louis region. The Loop is home to entertainment venues, restaurants, unique shopping, and a growing Tech sector. The Delmar Loop has been named one of the American Planning Association’s ‘Top Ten Great Streets in America’.

The i5Group held multiple work sessions with the LSBD board members and conducted 22 individual stakeholder meetings, including with City council members, business owners, and key organizations within and near the Loop. The strategic plan will assist the LSBD with future decision-making in governance and utilization of funding for Loop related projects. The i5Group helped facilitate the development of the LSBD’s mission statement, values, strategic directives, goals, and actions. The strategic directives included:

  • Public Realm and Visitor Experience

  • Marketing and Branding

  • Organization Governance

  • Activate the University City Loop (Events)

  • Economic Development

  • Collaboration
