Du Quoin, Pinckneyville, West Frankfort Bike Master Plans

The i5Group is leading the development of three bicycle master plans for Du Quoin, Pinckneyville, and West Frankfort. The Greater Egypt Regional Planning and Development Commission is facilitating the plans on behalf of the cities. The purpose of the bicycle master plan is to guide future bicycle improvements in each city with short, intermediate, and long-term implementation strategies. The bicycle master plans include an inventory of existing bicycle facilities, an analysis of existing roadways capable of accommodating bicycle facilities, and recommendations for specific infrastructure projects.

Community input is an essential part of the bicycle master plan. An online community wide survey and two public open houses will help shape the plan. The planning process began in Fall 2024 and will be completed in summer 2025.

Each community will have its own bicycle master plan.
